Michigan Ear Institute is Hiring an Audiologist Near Farmington, MI

The Michigan Ear Institute is currently recruiting a full-time audiologist. Primary responsibilities include diagnostic testing, cochlear implants, and hearing aid dispensing in a medical practice. One year of experience with cochlear implants and vestibular testing is highly desirable.

The Michigan Ear Institute is one of the nation’s leading surgical groups specializing in hearing disorders, dizziness, inner ear, skull base, and facial nerve disorders in adults and children.

Our professional staff is comprised of a highly skilled, experienced team of neurotologists and audiologists who have earned national and international recognition for their outstanding diagnostic, surgical, and research achievements. Our staff consists of 17 audiologists and 8 neurotologists. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for our patients.

We are looking for a well-rounded clinician with knowledge and proficiency in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss for patients of all ages (birth through geriatric). The clinician will be exposed to both pediatric and adult patients (roughly 20% pediatrics, 80% adults), and will receive exposure to audiology specialties including vestibular testing and implantable hearing devices. This is a fast-paced work environment. The employee may need to travel between our three clinics.

  • Doctoral degree in Audiology
  • Proficient in diagnostic audiology skills: audiometry, immittance testing, otoacoustic emissions testing, otoscopy
  • Experience with cochlear implants
  • Proficient with hearing aids, hearing aid fitting, follow-up, counseling, and Real Ear measurements.
  • Proficient in ABR, VNG, ECoG, VEMP; experience with vHIT is a plus
  • Experienced with patient counseling
  • Advanced computer skills with exposure to hearing aid data base software such as Sycle
  • Excellent report writing and clinical documentation skills
  • Eligible for Michigan License in Audiology
